Ephesians 4:25-32

I Don't Wear That Anymore

Ephesians 4:25-32

I Don't Wear That Anymore
4:1) I...urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
4:1) I...urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
4:17 So I say this...that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts. 19 Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.
Ephesians 4:25-32
25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE of you WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are members of one another.
26 BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
27 and do not give the devil an opportunity.
28 He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.
Ephesians 4:25-32
29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

4:1) I...urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
James 1:20 – “For human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.”
Matt 5:22 – “But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment.”

“Anyone can become angry, but to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way—this is not easy.” --Aristotle
