E Question 2
Using/ Following conventions
My Short film has used codes of original comedy and taken on its basics like physical, silent and slapstick comedy etc. The main character could be likened to people like Mr bean for the way he goes about his day to day life and also how he expresses his explosions of feelings. This kind of acting suits low key environments so that the audience still that the film seriously and don't view it as tacky or over the top. I feel that my film has followed all the planned conventions I had discussed in research and planning , like sound effects and tracks like seen in Charlie Chaplin Films.
With my trailer and poster I followed the conventions quite strictly because I wanted to get a professional finish. Also to please my target audience I wanted to meet all their expectations so that they can recognise the product and find it appealing. In order to entice them to watch the film.

Develop & Challenge Codes
The narrative of my film both develops and challenges conventions of comedy. This is because the storyline has the main plot of John having to buy lots of Nutella, to fix the disruption of the state to bring a new equilibrium. But then John becomes homeless, which is the twist at the end. the conventions here are challenged because the whole film is cheerful playing happy sounds and John shows happy and calm expressions, which turns upside down when he gets evicted.
An area where this Short film challenges the conventions of comedy films is by having a strong female lead. In this narrative the woman plays the dominant and powerful role of a landlady rather than a landlord. Where she evicts the main character who is a man onto the street.
