Genocide

noun -- the deliberate killing of  a large group of people, especially those of a specific ethnic group or nation. 

What is the issue??

Several million people have died of starvation since the the 1940's. In the 1990's, the numbers of death escalated dramatically.

Most of the citizens are only given one cup of food per day. Statistically, this is only a third of the international calorie intake per day.  

Widespread famine devastated North Korea. The Government did not follow up with aid, so mass starvation was the result. Only 2% of the population could be supported, but 62% ended up being "helped."  

Why is this happening?

After the famine, the government used the opportunity to seize political power and control people with fear.

Where is this happening?

North Korean political prison camps as well as within the commonwealth. 

Three main groups are being persecuted by North Korea:

1) Hostile (third class citizens)

2) Religious People (Christians) 3) Not ethically-Korean people living in North Korea 

Is this Genocide?

Absolutely! The North Korean Government has systematically starved its people for decades and has ruled unsympathetically while its citizens are dying. 

Has it ended? 

As of now, the genocidal acts in North Korea are still going on. The people are still starving at the hands of a greedy government.
