Common Misconceptions
Vs
Realities
 in Freelancing

Misconception 1

Freelancers are not guaranteed to get regular work.

Reality

The biggest problem that is often felt in the market is not the difficulty of getting projects, But the difficulty of finding talented and experienced developers

Misconception 2

There may be difficulty in getting payment from clients.

Reality

Once a client gives you a project to do and an advance amount for it, it is an investment for him. A client never wanted to lose their investment in terms of money and time spent on it. So it is a need of any client to complete the project on time by making the payment to you accurately. So why shouldn't the client pay you?

Misconception 3

There is no job security in freelancing. Fixed income is not guaranteed. Salaried jobs are more secure.

Reality

Think yourself, Doesn’t having multiple sources of income and multiple moneymaking skills sound less risky than putting all your eggs in one employer’s basket?

Misconception 4

If you want to get projects that get huge amounts of money, you have to leave freelancing and register as a company. Freelancing has limitations.

Reality

If you can convince the client that you have the capacity to do projects better than the companies when it comes to doing big projects, then what else can the clients look for?

Misconception 5

It can take up to six months to get the first client. Freelancing income is steady in just about a year…

Reality

It all depends on your confidence to connect clients. For me, the time it took me to get my first client was zero.

Misconception 6

Freelancing is too risky.

Reality
