What is GIT?

Git is a distributed version control system (DVCS) designed to track changes in source code during software development. It allows multiple developers to work collaboratively on the same project without overwriting each other's work.

Why Version Control?

  • Tracks changes in code over time

  • Helps collaborate with team members

  • Enables rollback to previous versions

  • Prevents “overwrite issues” in team projects

Advantages of GIT

1. Tracking History
2. Collaboration
3. Backup
4. Multiple Features
5. Tracking Status
6. Open Source Project

Git vs GitHub

   Git                         GitHub
