with accessories used on their heads show Indian tradation's

representation. They've also covered their head with a

'dupata' in a part of a music video. The lighting and music

Andrew Goodwins Theory

-Music video demonstrate genre lyrics.

This song,You'll be mine challenges that the music video is purely a performance since the parts of the music video are not directly showing the meaning of lyrics.

In this video, generic convention is used, the colourwash filters the entire music video. The merged shots over one another gives an amazing and magical look to the music video specifically in the lyrics where they say 'prick your finger on a spinning wheel but dont make a sound drop of blood'.

-Relationship between visual and the lyrics

The relationship between the visual and the lyrics are illustrative. In the first part of the

lyrics ,there are references to nature like grass, sky  and birds, all of which are shown in

the abstract filter shots. The idea of nature are  coming in the lyrics and and in the visuals

too. The line 'prick your finger on a spinning wheel'  connotes fairy tale magic and further

from this part, the girls are shown playing with the crystal balls, lanterns and candles.

The music video visuals are of a woman alone or in a big group but in the start they say

'we could count the tear drop in our eyes' shows the idea of couple getting together.

-Relationship between music and visuals

There are small references for the relationship between music

and the visuals. The soft beat of wooden drum relates to

nature. At the beginning of the music video, the track runs

with fast and different cuts with a strong and constant beat. The

calm tone of the music relates to the song Ýou'll be mine'.

Notion of looking

Mainly, the artists are having a direct eye contact with the camera. This music video doesnt portrays female body sexually,

much like mostly many music videos do. The camera uses

some close ups but doesnt specifically shows female body parts sexually. It mainly displays women being beautiful, rather than

sexually attractive.

This song, You'll be mine by the pierces is very similar to Del

Ray's  Young and beautiful since its a powerful performance

based music video. Majority of the video has the main artists

singing with close ups and full length long shots.

There are abstract filter shots of nature and the background in the video.
