LITTLE BENCHMARK

http://www.littlebenchmark.com
Our mission is to provide the most complete benchmarks for microcontrollers.
Benchmarks let you compare processors, but there is still plenty of variability. Understanding and running standard benchmarks can give designers greater insight into and control over their applications.

– Levy, By Markus. "Understanding Microcontroller Performance Analysis  Techniques." DigiKey Electronics. N.p., n.d. Web. 20 Sept. 2016.

No one is required to have their results certified, but certification adds significant credibility since it confirms that a neutral third party achieved the same numbers.
This is the business need that Little Benchmark will satisfy. By initially using accepted benchmarking standards that are produced by EEMBC (http://www.eembc.org/) and producing our own internal tools, Little Benchmark will be a leader in stress testing microcontrollers and eventually will build standards that users and our clients come to respect us for.
Benchmarks are a big deal. See below...

[ADD MORE LINKS HERE – EXPLAIN WHY]

The companies: Atmel (ATML), Intel (INTC), STMicroelectronics(STM), Microchip Technology (MCHP) and Texas Instruments (TXN) could be our clients. These companies hold 1 billion and above market cap in the microcontroller space.
What's the product?
Consumers will spend their time watching Little Benchmark YouTube videos and buying reports that provide them with microcontroller performance information.
Manufacturers will purchase Little Benchmark results in the form of white papers or structured documents with performance results for their latest and greatest chips. They will then use these documents for internal chip optimization procedures, research and development phases or marketing collateral.
There are also plans to have public user facing hardware and software solutions. These will allow Little Benchmark to collect valuable data which can be used in qualitative analytics for market research reports.

THE MARKET IS GROWING
HOW BIG IS THE MARKET?
Just recently, Japan’s Softbank purchased ARM, an SoC producer, for $32 billion.
“The Japanese company will retain ARM's headquarters in Cambridge and plans to double the number of employees in the U.K. over the next five years, when it will also increase the company's headcount outside the U.K.”
