 ELECTRICAL   HAZARD   AND   SAFETY

Current:

•  The flow of free electron in a conductor is known as current. It is denoted by “I” and unit is Ampere.

Voltage:

•  The potential difference between the two points where the current flow is known as voltage. It is denoted by V and unit is Volt.

Power:

•  The product of voltage and current is called power. It is denoted by P and its unit is Watt.

Resistance:

•  The property of the equipment to resist or block the flow of current. It is denoted by R and its unit Ohm.

Electro Magnetism:

•  The magnetic substance where the current flows and the material becomes magnet is known as electromagnet.

•  The process of making electro magnet is known as electro magnetism

•FUSE RATING – 2A TO 30A.

CATRIDGE FUSE:

•A cylinder type of material in which fuse wire is sealed inside it is called as Catdrige Fuse.

•It is commonly used in large electrical equipment(i.e) panel board.

HRC FUSE: FUSE RATING- UPTO 200A

•The fuse inside HRC can with stand short circuit current for much better than both re wire able and catridge fuse.

•HRC fuse is air tight by using GLASS as fuse element
