Feedback
Rough cut
As our first rough cut was very basic and only had a few base tracks in it we did not get as much feedback that we would have needed at this stage. However our teacher did point us in the right direction
Cinema Screening
We got some great feedback from the screening and it was interesting what people thought of our editing techniques.
I sent some of my friends the link to my video and asked for some feedback and I got a great response. Corinna is a part of the target as she is an 18yr old student living in London.
Ancillary
I also asked some of my friends for some feedback on my ancillary and to see if they could spot the synergy.
Reflection
Being given feedback throughout each part of the process was key. The feedback we were giving while editing helped us to form the structure we were looking for. our teacher suggested that we put the shots in order of location and have the chorus to break it up and it was a perfect idea. Asking our class mates for feedback allowed us to gain knowledge into what our target audience like. Some of our peers told us that they thought the editing needed to be more quirky so we decided to add in more jump cuts and use the reversing effect.
After screening our video we gained more information on our video. We found out that our synergy was clear and we were able to keep that link going through the ancillary.
I have learnt that sticking to a clear theme and having a solid plan is crucial. At first my group and I were not sure where to take our video after we filmed it as we had a lot of issues during the filming process but by talking to others we found the ideas we needed.
I now know that in order to develop failure and mistakes will happen. in our case all the technical and personal difficulties we had was worth it in the end.
