It is incumbent for all designers and makers to use responsible design principles and practices. Why? The built environment, that's cabins for us, equates to 40% of the global CO2 emissions. We must also consider where our materials come from, the waste we generate and toxins we release through our activity.
This is why we will follow these design principles and challenge ourselves to the highest standards for the welfare for our customers, community, future generations and the planet.

We constantly research to find materials and processes that eliminate non reusable or recyclable waste.

All of our designs are light on the land & life.
We aim to use a zero concrete method and a design process to minimise land destruction & spoil*.

All built structures have a repairable lifespan
Our cabins are designed to be repaired and repurposed over time.
We don’t fix materials together in a way that make them impossible to replace, repair or reuse.

The price that we pay for ‘goods’ is not the true price to society and the planet
We do not compromise our design where it will cause environmental or social degradation.
The materials and processes we use are chosen for traceability & environmental performance and not for the lowest cost.

No material lasts forever
We design for decomposition, understanding that many of the materials we use will return to the earth.
For the materials that do not naturally decompose we make sure they have a proven reuse or recycling process.
