Architecture is considered as an element of expression where architects communicate, through their projects, their feelings or reflect what is currently lived in the City.

When does an architecture building become art?
Vitruvius already said it, a long time ago, writing in ancient Rome around the year 30 BC, when he identified the three essential elements, but often in conflict, of all great architecture; what he called "commodities, firmness and joy."

They are what we could call today function, to meet the needs of those who inhabit a building; structure, to stay upright and protect us from rain, and beauty, for an aesthetic contribution.

Architecture becomes art when it finds a resolution in those imperatives by creating passion in its tension. A building is not art simply because it is virtuous and functional or because it is sustainable or socially equitable. This is not enough.

Something else is needed, good architecture is only one that excites us or produces a shock, a feeling of satisfaction, pleasure and happiness. When you walk the streets of your city, look up and see what excites you.
