What kind of institutions might distribute you media product and why?

SPINE/INTER MEDIA

Spine media was found by Quincy Jones. They promote RnB / Hip Hop artists. Vibe was purchased by the private equity investment fund InterMedia Partners and is now issued semi-monthly with double covers, with a larger online presence. The magazine's target demographic is predominantly young, urban followers of hip-hop culture. This is why Inter Media Partners should distribute my media product. First of all it would promote my product as the company has released many other very famous magazine like 'Vibe' which has been very successful.

It would also be a good idea because wee have the same demographic and mostly the same targe audience so I definitely think that it would be one of the best distribution company that would suit my my genre and my audiences.

TOWNSAQUARE MEDIA

Townsquare media has been publishing XXL magazine for many years. I also think it should publish my magazine firstly because we are mostly aiming at the same target group. And we are promoting the same type of artists. Even though we are not trying to deliver the exact same message (e.g. stereotype, how women are portrayed etc) but the fact that they have been successful by publishing big magazine such as XXL, who promote artist like Jay-Z, Ice Cube, 50 Cent etc, it would be a great idea to publish mine because my magazine would be more likely to suit mine and their audiences. 

SOCIAL MEDIA

Publishing my magazine through social media could also be a very good idea as my target audience is from 16-30 years, in that range of age most people are often on social media, internet, therefore it would be a much more suitable way for them to access it without having to go to shops.

A facebook, twitter and snapchat will be made on the name of Dynamic.

The facebook page will be for the fans that wants to keep up with the music and everything that is happening around R'n'B. Some amateurs will have a chance to show the world their talent, by sending their video by message and get it published on our page. The whole point of doing this is to promote our magazine and to make sure people always keep updated on what the next release of magazine will contain.

Twitter will be for the same purpose to release, dates, exclusive topics, new artists and anything that the magazine will contain by posting and having the audience following us.

Issuu is a free electronic publishing platform for magazines, catalogues, newspapers and more. This is one if not the best publishing site for my magazine.

It is free so unlike Intermedia or townsquare where my copany would have to pay for them to release my magazine, this site will do it for free and it would be easier for my audience to access it.
