Here at Alphaweb we are mainly using the CMS system called WordPress to build websites in. We have over the last 16 years worked with a bunch of different CMS systems like Drupal, Joomla, CMS made Simple and several others, but both our webdesigners and our clients prefer WordPress when getting a new webdesign and with a good reason. It's fast to use, easy to learn and you can as siteowner qulity change a lot of things on your website or webshop without having to get a webdesigner involved. This both saves time and money for many companies and is a big reason why WordPress are so popular here in 2020.

Another great thing about WordPress is that you can get plugins for almost any feature you can imagine. You need a booking calander, no problem - you need a beautiful image gallery that fits your webdesign style, no problem. And best of all, many of these plugins can be used completely free of charge. Not to mention the WordPress system itself is also free. So you can actually save a lot of money on the webdesign and your website by going with a CMS system like WordPress (or for webshops WooCommerce). Of course many of the really good plugins cost money, but they are stilll cheaper than similar plugins for other systems.
Another cool part about getting a WordPress webdesign is that you can often scale it a lot. There are many webshops out there with thousands of products in their WooCommerce system, or WordPress websites with several thousand sub pages, So the system itself can easily handle a lot of content or large amount of visitors (if you got the right webhosting solution).
Should you need some advanced functions in your website, it's often pretty easy to code it in WordPress, if you know a bit about PHP, HTML and CSS. If not - chances are that someone have already build a code snippet or a plugin that will give you that functionality for your website. This makes it so much faster an easier to scale your webdesign compared to many other systems - and a lot cheaper too. WordPress are in my opinion the best CMS system for webdesign you can get at the moment. And I doubt we will see a better system any time soon, as it's updated more or less on a monthly basis. Both to add new features but also to improve website performance and security. So it's a safe website platform but also quite fast if you choose the right theme.
We have worked with WordPress for almost 8 years now and wouldn't go back to any of the other CMS systems we have tried.
