The Make Your Mark Expo is a four day exhibition taking place at BSDC from Monday 13th February until Thursday 16th February.

The Make Your Mark Expo is an annual teaching and learning exhibition designed to prepare learners for the world of work.

The aim of the Expo is to provide learners with opportunities to network with key employers, listen to past learners about their journey from College to career success, develop their skills for the future and to ensure that they are prepared for employment or progression.

This year, learners will be required to attend a minimum of three Expo sessions.

Learners will be given the option to book independently, however 99% of the bookings will be done via Group Bookings.

We will also be allowing Expo bookings by spreadsheet. The DEADLINE for spreadsheet bookings is 3rd February 2017.

All bookings will be processed via our Event Ticketing System and learners will be expected to bring digital/paper tickets to sessions.

SESSIONS

This year lessons will be flexible (with English and maths running as normal). Learners will be required to attend at least three Expo sessions as part of the week.

The priority during those days will be to book onto the Make Your Mark Expo sessions.

If you are unable to book your learners onto any of the Expo sessions, lessons will continue as normal.

Tutorials for the week will be replaced with Expo sessions.

learning fair

The concept behind the Learning Fair is to showcase the work learners do in their areas around the College.

This year, as part of the Expo, the College will be holding a Learning Fair all week in the HE Gallery.

The Learning Fair will be partially staffed throughout the week and all curriculum areas will have a stall.

The main audience for the Learning Fair will be current learners.

Social

We will also be launching a exclusive snapchat filter for the event which will be available Monday to Thursday during the week. Learners should add 'BSDCOFFICIAL' to their snapchat so that we can promote the snaps.

This year to promote the event we will be launching a Twitter Wall.

Using the #MYMExpo tag we will be promoting all tweets from our guest speakers, learners and staff.
