About Calvin harris

Calvin Harris is a scottish DJ that produces and remixes songs. He was born on January 17th 1984 and his real name is Adam Richard Wiles.

His debut album called "Created Disco" was reeased back in 2007 and was the precursor to his singles that managed to reach the top-10 singles chart "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls"

Second Album

Then 2 years later Harris released his second album produced in a studio which was called "Ready for the Weekend". This album gained a lot of recognition and attracted a lot of attention by debuting at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart , it also earned a gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry.

Harris' song "I'm Not Alone" from his second album became his first number 1 single.

International Prominence

From the success of his third Album "18 Months", Calvin Harris managed to become an international sensation. All 8 of the songs that are on the album managed to reach the top 10 in the UK Singles Chart, this was a big breakthrough for Harris. 

The album was such a success that it even reached the Billboard 200 in the US, peaking at number 19.

Recent activities

Harris has collaborated with many big name artists such as Rihanna, who he has produced 2 songs with, or other artists such as Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and many more.

Harris holds a few records to his name as well. Firstly he holds the record for the most top 10 hits in one studio album at 9 hits in the top 10. He also became the first British solo artists that has reached more then 1 billion streams on Spotify.
