DEFINITIONS

  •   Computer -> Includes phones, tablets, game consoles, smartwatches, self-driving cars, checkout registers, desktops, laptops, etc.

 Hacking -> Attempting to gain access to computers or digital information without permission. Network -> Two or more computers connected together with wires or radio signals so they can send messages back and forth

 

 

 

 

Internet -> Nothing more than a special name for the biggest network in the world
Hackable computer - > A computer connected to any network. The bigger the network, the more hackable the computer is
Stuff that’s not connected to any network is airgapped. As in, there’s a gap of air around it.
Airgapped computers are almost impossible (but not totally impossible) to hack. If we have time at the end I’ll talk a little about how people have done that
Credentials -> Stuff that identifies you, or your computer. Usernames, passwords, PIN codes, encryption keys, fingerprints, etc
