How was our DevOPS journey?

• You have one clear goal: run app X in Kubernetes and own it
• The entire learning process should be driven by the above statement
• AWS is huge...pretty huge. Do not get lost in details, tools or AWS services that you will not use

Examples from math:

- Given a triangle with known sizes, can you calculate his area?

- Can you calculate the size of a building from outside?

• Books and tutorials are great but practice is king.
• Play around with X, break it, fix it etc is queen.

​Example: create a cluster; delete nodes; try to clean-up manually.

Learning process

• Learning is not a task; it cannot be delegated
• Learning is/should be personal
• Constant collaboration and communication (knowledge sharing)
• Peer programming
• There will be things each of you have to do...Yes duplicated "work" :)

• We do Scrum and planning but please do not plan the learning :)
• A mindset change is needed: you will have a long period of time with a lot of unknowns
