Difficult Interactions

Conflict is something that you will have to deal with no matter what job or career you have, there will always be some sort of disagreements, but it is the way that you handle them that will determine the outcome.

Conflict

Conflict is a struggle that occurs when individuals, with others perceive that those are interfering with their goal. In other words it is when two or more people disagree on a particular subject or outcome. I think that special education and general educators have school conflict because they both use different instructional methods that each may not agree upon. I think that it is how you handle the situation that matters the most.

Conflict Management

Conflict management is a struggle or contest in which people with opposite needs, ideas, beliefs, values or goals.  Conflict might escalate and lead to nonproductive results, or conflict can be beneficially resolved and lead to quality final products.  When i think of conflict management it is how you handle the situation that you have right then. Conflict management is when conflicts can't be resolved but you can learn how to manage the conflicts. In a special education classroom this could happen between a  special education teacher and a general education teacher if they are disagreeing on ideas or goals for a students IEP.

Conflict

Conflicts are an opportunity for growth not only in students, but also with teachers and professionals. Conflicts trigger emotions which can lead to stress or other problems.  A conflict is a lot more than just a disagreement it is a situation. This can affect a special education or general education classroom in many different ways. It can cause problems that have to be worked out together because alone we are not able to solve conflict.

Cause of Conflict
Conflict between individuals with different goals is a major cause of conflict because both sides think that their goal is more important than the other. Usually when i have been part of this type of conflict is that people have a hard time listening to others points of view. Another type of conflict is conflict between individuals with the same goals, but not everyone can access it.
