A web-based alternative to PowerPoint

Use the keyboard arrow keys, or click to blue arrows in the corner of the presentation, to advance the slide

Advantages

  • A deck (presentation) can be embedded into several sections of the same course. Editing the one deck updates all your sections simultaneously.
  • You can present your content directly from DC Connect, as I am doing here. Students remain within the learning environment when reviewing content.
  • Accessible from any device connected to the internet (seriously, type in https://slides.com/brettclayton/slides-com into your phone's browser and take a look) .
  • Base plan is free.

Disadvantages

  • Free plan is limited (e.g. a deck cannot be exported to a handout format for students to download and view offline).
  • Content cannot be imported from publisher resources or existing PPT files.
