The Good stuff

Board members are passionate about Seedleaf's vision and want to be more involved.

Areas For IMPROVEMENT:

#1 Ryan needs to do less (way less) managing of the board.

Areas For IMPROVEMENT:

#2 A clear and actionable plan

(that will be used)

“I think we need to have a well-defined set of goals that we want accomplished and a well defined plan about how we are going to do that and a group of people that we are going to commit either staffing/volunteer/board [members] who are going to get those things done."

Areas For IMPROVEMENT:

#3 Fundraising!!!!!

We need to be doing far more

Areas For IMPROVEMENT:

#4 Marketing!!!!!

We need to be doing far more

"The grants committee met in the summer. The marketing committee has been a while, 6-8 months [ago].”

Areas For IMPROVEMENT:

#4 Communication

There is confusion about individual roles, committee placement and current Seedleaf activities.

"Um… organizational wise, we aren’t well organized, or when we do attempt to get ourselves organized we don’t follow through"

Areas For IMPROVEMENT:

#5 Board members need to do more.

There is a concern that board members are not being used to their full potential.

Immediate Recommendations

1. Today, all committees should set a date to meet during the month of October (before the next board meeting)

2. The president should be in charge of making the agenda.

3. the treasurer should be prepared to report income at each meeting.

Immediate Recommendations

3. An official note taker should be apointed to take notes at each meeting. these should then be emailed out.

4. Individual board members need to sign up for fundraising and tabling. We will pass around a list toward the end of the meeting

Goals for today

1. Figure out the committees and set A time to meet. 2. Establish board meeting protocols (Agenda, income ANNOUNCEMENTS, official note taker).

3. Discern who is still interested in being a board member.
