GERMAN REACTIONS
To the Treaty of Versailles
By Dhruv, Vinay, Pranav, Siddharth
- Germany felt that the clauses regarding the blame of the World War 1 weren't fair. They felt that the blame should be shared.
- German's were bitter as they had to pay for all the damages caused by the World War 1 even though the economy was severely in a downfall.

War Guilt and Reparations

- German pride was lost as the country had lost 10% of the territory.
- All of the international colonies were lost as the French and British took over them in places such as Africa.
German Territories

- Germany was very angry as its government was represented at the peace talks. And the fact that they by-default had to accept the harsh treaty without a choice or a comment.
- Germans didn't feel like they lost the war. So they felt like they shouldn't be treated like one.
NON-Representation

- All over Germany, the treaty didn't include the 14 points proposed by Wilson, for example while self-determination was given to countries such as Estonia, Latvia etc. German speaking nations were also being ruled by non-Germans.
- Germany felt criticized to the core when they weren't invited to join the league of Nations.
League of Nations and Wilson
The END
Although the struggle, Germany is still said to be one of the top contries of the world
