Post Shop Planning

well, shit....

The Shop Is Closing and this sucks

We have two phases of action

  • Getting our stuff out of the shop (end of April)
  • What do we do in the future

What we Know

  1. Meeting: April 12
    1. Was supposed to have an internal comp - postpone it?
    2. Mayfaire check-in was supposed to be that day
      1. do it?
      2. move it?
      3. cancel/postpone Mayfaire?
  2. Finding homes for materials
  3. A lot of old parts from other people

The Now concerns

We have a Lot of Material at the SHop

  1. The Shop System (kettles, coils, pumps, chemicals, etc)
  2. The Chest Freezer/The TV
  3. Coolers
  4. Archive Materials
  5. A lot of old parts from other people/Trash

The Now concerns

  1. May is on auto-pilot
    1. SCHF/Mayfaire festival - please buy your tickets/camping - the club needs the $$
  2. June 7th - need a new meeting spot
    1. Brewery? Community Hall? Church?
    2. Meeting FAQ Document to share (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1koRB5P5v43j_5zZ_4bv53Lcu7asQFDzo/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=116699229597131905336&rtpof=true&sd=true)

The Next Concerns

  1. Meetings
    1. do we rotate? do we meet at one place?
    2. do we change what we do at meetings?
  2. Recruitment
    1. No more passive recruitment (e.g. Shop referrals, folks wanting the discount)
    2. More active socials, posting flyers, etc
  3. Retention
    1. Getting new members is hard - let's keep the ones we have! Poll the (ex)membership

The Longer Concerns

  1. Activities
    1. What do we do differently?
      1. Festivals are expensive and attendance is stagnant.
      2. How do we put on brewing demos?
      3. How do we organize competitions?
      4. Where do we do Happy Hour drops? Swag?
  2. Finances
    1. Membership revenue will probably drop - how does this impact spending?

The Longer Concerns
