certificate is important and will be taken in as the underlying
cause of death.

With Acute Gastroenteritis being the Underlying Cause of death, the death certificate can be filled in either of these ways

Patient B is admitted with Acute Gastroenteritis and dehydration and then dies in the ward?

- Here Acute Gastroenteritis is Underlying Cause of death, and Dehydration is immediate Cause of death.
- The death certificate can be filled in either of these ways
It is important that on the death certificate
Acute Gastroenteritis, being the Underlying Cause of Death, has to be written on the lowest line.
And the CoD that is written in the lowest line will be taken in as underlying CoD
