- If you have failed to turn in your forms after the deadline, you will receive 1 demerit, but you still must turn in forms and pay the dues to be considered a member and participate in MAO sponsored activities.

Texas A&M University Math Contest
Points: 1.5

- The problems will be released one week before the official date of the contest
- Email us the solutions the day of the contest to earn your points
- You must submit your solutions to the competition to earn points

AMC 10/12
Points: 1 each
- The sign-up deadline was 9/28
- You had to have paid your dues in order to participate
- AMC 10: 10th Grade and below
- AMC 12: Open to all
- Test will be in-person after school 3-4:30 pm

- AMC 10/12 B: November 16, 2021
USAMTS
Points: 1 per round
- 3 rounds with 5 questions each
- Your solutions should be proof-based
- Send a picture of your submission in order to receive credit
- Sign yourself up on the website to participate!

Round 1 is open until October 18 @ 9pm CST and the questions are already on their website
- Open to all students who would like to participate
HMMT November
Points: 1.5 for participating in only the individual rounds and 3 points for participating in all rounds

Friday Math Practices
- We've already had our first practice on Counting!
- Every Friday except those when there are MAO or SNHS meetings
- Be sure to check remind for updates
- Handouts will be provided to follow along with
- You MUST be paying attention to receive full points
- We may do a check in future FMP's to see if you were listening
- Bring questions of your own to ask!
- Points: 1-1.5 points per practice
- You can earn that extra 0.5 points by answering questions, staying for extra time to ask questions, or when fmps go on for longer than usual!
Points and Volunteering
- 7 points required this semester
- Hours can be fulfilled through:
- Competitions
- A-hall tutoring
- Must email us at least 24 hours in advance for approval and turn in your hour slip on the same email chain
- Math tutoring at other schools
- Other pre-approved math activities
- Complete a substantial work of math on your own (email for approval before you work on it)
- Ex. a study guide over a math topic
Don't forget to check our website for info! & if you are not receiving emails, make sure to contact us so we can get that fixed ASAP. :)
