PROJECT NERO

  • Concept: bring the classroom to the editorial office
  • Innovative, crossmedial journalistic products
  • 2010-2013 cooperation with two newspapers
  • 300 students in groups, 50 succesful projects

But...

  1. 'Classroom behavior', lazy, not enough ambition
     
  2. Getting a job in a newsroom = not realistic

No longer 'NERO-students' but future entrepeneurs

Emphasise skills that senior journalists (often) don't have, make them valuable

Need to reconsider...
