Web design is the set of activities and functions related to the process of creating a web portal and online dissemination: structure, prototyping and graphic design.

The web designer must have technical knowledge when optimizing the code, as it will allow better search engine positioning and accessibility.

When we talk about Web Design we must clearly distinguish two basic concepts:

 

* Structure, is the Where: where do I put each "thing"? Where does the logo go Where does the information go on each web page? Where does the advertising go on each web page?

 

* Graphic design, is the How: How will I show the title? What will the ads be like? How will the images associated with the information be? From your own experience, the key at this point is to have your own Web Style Guide.

The main functions we perform in the Web Design unit are:

 

Graphic design and design of the structure of the new websites.

 

Application of usability criteria.

 

Usability is the Why. Usability is transversal to the previous points. Any answer to the previous questions must have a usability answer, answering the Why? correspondent.

 

Usability: it consists of improving the user experience, being aware of how you feel. For this, it is convenient to create a Usability Laboratory.
