New Preschool Development Grant Program

• Under this new section, the Secretaries of Health and Human Services and Education . . . can, but do not have to, use these funds to help states expand access to preschool programs. And even if they do, their agencies are not allowed to impose quality standards.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) 

As referenced by the Standards and Indicators for School Improvement, specifically in Standard 3.1a, varied instructional strategies should be used in all classrooms. Also, Standard 3.1c  indicates that instructional strategies and activities should be consistently monitored and aligned with diverse student populations. Universal Design for Learning is an effective instructional approach that promotes curriculum accessibility for all learners through the use of technology by incorporating Digital Learning opportunities.
