COURSE OBJECTIVES

▶ Be adept with the fundamentals of web development by learning HTML5, CSS and JS to create functional websites.
▶ Convert prototypes and design comps using HTML5, CSS frameworks, and JS to create responsive and user- friendly web solutions.
▶ Apply the proper HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript features to create websites that work across different devices by using responsive web techniques.
▶ Design and develop web applications by combining codes and unique visual styles to create compelling web experiences and stories.
▶ Implement standard compliant client-based projects by considering the cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and usability of websites to serve the most number of people
▶ Present the final project to the class and panelists for critiquing by explaining the web design and development process.

    (appropriate techniques/technical issues specific to each      design/project)

  • Your domain name should be your website name
  • It will determine your email address
  • Up to 67 characters
  • Alphanumeric / Dashes
  • No other characters allowed
  • Not too long
  • Easy to remember
  • Not cutesy if you want to sound professional

HOSTING


  • Amount of web space (for now 1G should suffice)
  • FTP/Cpanel access (so you can upload your files)
  • E-mail service (hooked to your domain)
  • Add, Edit, Delete e-mail addresses
  • Manage e-mail accounts
  • Bandwidth, speed, access, reliability
  • Scripting capability (PHPMYADMIN, ASP, PHP, CGI)
