Their cover page is simplistic, the background used is a frame of their latest music video "Get Away"
The imagery depicts a very youth and urban look/vibe as there is graffiti in the background and the clothes they are wearing make them look very young. Their current logo is placed on the top left hand side of the website and contrasts the background because it is white, making it stand out.
On the top right hand is the navigation bar which features the usual social buttons (twitter, facebook, instagram etc.) and a link titled "BUY EGO DEATH" which redirects you to the iTunes page where you can buy their latest album.
The other links are to the rest of the pages on the website (Music, Videos, Shop and Tour), the website is fairly easy to navigate around which makes it better for their fans when they are viewing the site.
Clicking on the play button in the middle of the page opens up the music video for their latest single "Get Away", the main purpose of their cover page is to advertise their latest single/music video which is what I will do when creating my cover page.
Oddly, once entering the website two new links are added onto the nav bar, "News" and "Mailing List".
On the home page we see a scrolling background with images of the band looking like they are having fun performing on the back of a vehicle. These images heavily reflect the band members themselves as they have described themselves as weird and fun.
The layout of the home page is identical to the cover page (logo is on the left hand side and the navigation bar is on the top right hand side), the home page actually has no content at all which shows that they are encouraging the user to go on the other pages for information.
The structure of the website changes for the remaining 4 pages (News, Music, Videos and Tour) as they all use a one column design, the background is now white, the navigation bar is at the very top, the logo is beneath the navigation bar and the social buttons/links are in the footer of the page.
The news page features photos of recent things the band has been doing e.g. interview with vibe magazine, release of a new album.
Their music page features nothing but an embedded spotify playlist of their currently promoted album "Ego Death".
