- Britain has exported more than five million cars so far this decade – its best ever performance.
- The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said 102,981 cars built in the UK were sold overseas in July, taking the total since the start of 2010 to 5,095,796.
- At this stage of the last decade – a record 10.7million cars were exported in 2000-09 – some 4.95million had been sold to overseas buyers.
