Evaluation Question 1

The title of the film

The title missing Jamie fits in with the thriller genre because it gives a personal connection. The word missing gives us a sad impression that the person who is missing is vulnerable. This is linked to the film Lucy. The film title appears in the middle near the front of my sequence. The reason for this is because the main character is shown in the shot after.

Setting/Location

Locations that are used in my title sequence is the bedroom Street and in the car. The location does use the conventions of the thriller opening as they were introduced to where the character lives. The location is not the normal place which could indicate that many cases like this would occur. The location is easy to follow because it's the characters every day route from the house to the house.it challenges the conventions because this opening is happening during the day not during the night

Costumes and props

The costume of typical people who live in the neighbourhood is people wearing hoods involved in crimes and always wearing hoods. This costume was of the character who was wearing match hoodies and bottoms with headphones and trainers. We feel insecure as you do not have the person is when is seen in films. Just because you cannot see face it doesn't mean it is a human

Camera work and editing 

The camera work on editing involved in my opening sequence follows the conventions of opening sequences. A close-up of the victims face is you should be revealed in the opening to show the Thriller genre and sets out the tone for the movie

Title font and style

The title is shown in my opening sequence is simple. This does challenge the conventions because in thriller genres it is irregular.  Colour white and will attract the audience as it's easy to identify and read overall I think that the right title font colour is used asas the background is dark so the colour white is visible

Story and how it opens up

The story is played from Jamie's behaviour emotions and the text that she scenes and it's not conventional form opening of a thriller film because they would use phone calls instead of text. The text used shows that the stalker is really desperate and crazy and in makes the opening of the story see more creepy and uncomforting

Genre and how the opening suggests it 

There are some aspects in my opening which show that the solution on there is revealed four example when Jamie was kidnapped this shows that there are high levels of tension building up. This is because she is helpless and she has been kidnapped and it should cut the raffle hair and a blackeye such violence is not seen in the audience but they would think that she was here and suggesting it would be a similar genre

How characters are introduced

The protagonist who is Jamie is followed by the audience only because her normal life is shining in her point of view the antagonist is viewed as Mr anonymous we do not get to see his body and face but the advantage of this is that he makes us feel but he is the enemy

Special effects

There are not many special effects used in my opening sequence the main Effect used in my opening is the dip into black as it shows a cliffhanger and my opening
