Since we are creating a social realism short film, our ideal target audience will have to be young adults aged around 17- 23 year olds. This is because our short film will have a heavy impact on this intended target audience and would be fitting to aim towards this age range, due to the target audience being able to relate to this film and therefore will have a different perspective upon viewing this film.
In addition, we also have a secondary target audience we would also like aim our short film to. This target audience is young mothers. We believe that this would be an excellent target audience because we feel that our target audience would be able to relate to the main character, the main character being a mum, and as a result, they would relate to the hardships of being a young mum but also being grateful of the benefits as well. Due to this, we assume that a bond would be made between the main character and the target audience and would enhance the viewing experience of the target audience.
Lastly, we have another target audience that we want to aim our short film to. Our target audience is people who suffer from family problems. Since in our short film, we have the theme of family problems we believe that we should use that as our focus point for our target audience. However, in the short film a social worker helps out the family and we also want to convey the message that social workers are not just evil people who separate you and your family, but they are actually friendly people who can save your family and resolve their issues.
