Ideas & Inspirations

As I want to push myself a lot more this year and ensure I get the high grade I deserve, I decided that I should carry out some individual research for inspirations that I can implement into our final music video. So I watched many videos and looked for the creative flare portrayed within them, and thought of whether we would be able to recreate them. 

Colour Separation

I like how there's a black and white effect throughout with specific colours 'separated' and highlighted. I think we can add this to our music video at some points to enhance creativity. Although I'm still quite sure as to how we can do this I am willing to learn and expand my editing skills.

Coloured Smoke

In this video from 1:28 I found that the creativity levels just went sky high. I love the whole coloured smoke atmosphere and believe that it would really suit our song choice. Also the use of special effects in this video are sensational and I think makes the video a whole lot enjoyable.

Slow Motion

In this video, there is a close up slow motion effect. The edges are rounded and I think this is something else that maybe we could try and it could work really well with our song choice. Although I would not imagine it to be thoughout the video and would expect more creativity that we can input into our own to make it our creation.

Lens Flare

I think lens flaring is another amazing idea that we can add into our music video. It singles out a music video to not look like other media products but also makes the video look more interesting and appealing to me.

I also like the props in this video; the sunglasses at the beginning and the balloons at the end.

Costume & Props

In this video the costume and props particularly stood out to me and I think some of these could work well in our video.

Props & Setting

I like the whole party feel at the background with the confetti and balloons. As I know that recreating parties are really difficult it's best to stay away from this idea, however we can create a party sort of atmosphere through confetti and balloons in the background, nothing to major.
