- Listen more than you talk
- Prioritize in-person interactions over remote ones
Passion is important, but Discipline is more important
- Go to all of your classes
- Build a routine and stick to it
- Find those habits that can only improve your life

- Turn fidget time into something productive
- E.g. I replaced Reddit with Duolingo
Become a Professional
- Most professions are some type of problem solving
- 90% of problems you'll ever encounter have been solved before
- The remaining 10% of problems are the valuable ones to solve
- How do you know if a problem has been solved before?
- Read a lot. Then read more.
- As a rule of thumb: Read 10 times as much as you write
- Turn your "unknown unknowns" into "known unknowns" as quickly as possible
- Learn about all the common problems in your field
- Only learn the solutions when they become relevant
