Q3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

  • Our radio station is called Tweenz FM we chose this because our main target auidence are teenagers and young adults.

  • We believe that our newscast is suitable for teenagers and young adults which is why our slogan is: "The no.1 radio station for the Tweenz!".
  • Our target Audience are 15-25 year olds.
  • We believe our news team is descibed to be entertaining, inquisitive and informative.

We want our newscast to be able to give young people the information that may be  important to them and so that they are aware about what is happening in their local area.

  • This is because our newscast includes local news that teenagers and young people like to be informed about such as: crime, health, education and celebrities.

what do we want our newscast to do for our audience?

  • We know thar our generation is bright as we belong to the genration of the future.
  • Our newscast aims to do this by playing music that our audience enjoys and providing them with news that they may be interested in.
  • What we believe is important, is that our audience enjoys our newscast as well as learning from it.

 

 

  • However, we also understand that they. are facing many problems to do with education, for example.
  • So we believe that it is important for them to relax.

RADIO STATIONS THAT COULD DISTRIBUTE OUR NEWSCAST...

The closest radio stations that we believe would distribute our media product are BBC Radio 1 and Capital FM.

This is because they both are informative as well as entertaining.

They also share similar news values like currency, timelessness and human interests.

why we chose capital fm...

We chose capital FM because their target audience ranges between 15-34 and these are 59% of their listeners

Capital FM has also reached 1.9 million people of their target audience which is why we think that capital would be best to deliver us.

why we chose bbc radio 1...

However, we also believe that BBC radio 1 would also do this well as their audience are 15-29 year olds and reaches 19% of the population

They also carry similar news values such as to entertain, and to engage young listeners.
