  • becomes a valuable intervention to humanize and decolonize the knowledge of the borderland regions and its communities

  • putting to the forefront collaborative, solidarity and interdisciplinary work methods
  • engage with various communities (locally, nationally, and globally)
  • raise new questions and proposes other forms of interpretations  
  • transforms productions of knowledge that go beyond geopolitical borders
  • establishes alternative bridges and alliances between the Global South and North.

Borderlands Archives Cartography (BAC)

 

  • transnational project (shared newspaper archive)

  • dedicated to locate, map and facilitate the access to 19th and mid-20th-century newspapers published in what is now the Mexico-U.S. border region

  • visualizes, documents and analyzes the junction of several cultures and the diverse histories of the borderlands by embracing the past to honor the multiple experiences of the border communities
