  • Honkytonk Films was born in 2007 in Paris.
  • Founded by Arnaud Dressen and Guillaume Urjewicz.
  • purpose: produce interactive documentaries for the web: a new kind of films
  • one of the pioneers in webdoc / idoc 
  • after Honkytonk's first interactive documentary "Journey To The End Of Coal" (2008)
  • the producers developed Klynt, a codefree and easy-to-use software, designed to create interactive videos / documentaries for the web
  • both for internal use and external consumers
  • they started working on Klynt in 2009,                  it was released in 2011
  • Klynt became an international reference 

And then...

VR !

2016: new software: Wonda VR

  • "child" of Klynt: codefree, intuitive, easy-to-use
  • same interfaces for storyboard (non-linear narrative) and sequence editor
  • different and innovative: designed for 360 video/photo
  • different and innovative: designed for VR Headsets: Gear VR and Cardboard, rather than the web

Interactive 360 ?

Yeah, more than a 360 video on Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook...

Hackathon Schedule

  • Friday night, after the talks: teams + theme/concept + teams brainstorming on their project: story, mise en scène, storyboarding.... until midnight
  • Saturday 9 AM: briefing for 360 video shooting, tests
  • Saturday 12 PM: teams go out in Lisboa and shoot
  • Saturday 4 PM: teams come back, 360 stitching, video editing if necessary with Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro 
  • Saturday night: first draft with Wonda VR, prototyping, until.... (very) late
  • Sunday 9 AM: Wonda VR editing, finishing projects
  • Sunday 3:30 PM: deadline for finishing !!!
  • Sunday night: projects presentation

And now... Demo !!
