WORK LIFE
As an intern that works remotely from home, I mainly keep in contact with my team using email and discord. I also have meetings on google meet.
I found that working remotely requires you to be a self-starter, meaning that as an independent worker you have to make sure to push yourself to get the work done as well as let the team know what is going on.
WHAT IS UX/UI DESIGN?
UX Design - UX design is short for User Experience design. It is a design process where you have to understand the user and the brand, research buyers and competitors, create prototypes of the product, track how users interact with the product, and finally present your work.
UI Design - UI design stands for User interface design. It is the visual design of a product that is created with elements like typography, color, images, and page layouts.
UI/UX PROJECT - Redesigning the shop page
As a UI/UX Design Intern at Clavis, I have been keeping in contact with the hosts as well as the front-end developer. I was assigned by the team to redesign the shop page of the Clavis studio website and make it more user friendly to customers.
I started the process by navigating through the current website and making notes of errors I observed with improvement suggestions. After, I would send them to the front-end developer to troubleshoot.
Next, I had meetings with the hosts to get an understanding of what they would like in the new design. From there I started the UI/UX process of researching, prototyping, and designing on figma.

SHOP PAGE REDESIGN
PRODUCT PAGE REDESIGN
Using the template I designed from the shop page, I also created a product details page.
As part of my UI/UX design, I have also been working on projects that involve 3D design, video editing, designing social media posts, company postcards, event planning, and presentations.
Some of the 3D furniture models that I modeled and rendered in Blender for a company collaboration.
Here are some examples of video edits that I created and optimized for Clavis Studio's Tiktok and Youtube pages.
Public Speaking @ Amii
At this company pitch event, the whole team had 7 minutes to introduce Clavis studio to the audience. I presented a step-by-step walkthrough of one of my 3D designs.
I designed social media posts and created a website for Clavis studio's exhibition at Collision startup.
With the variety of projects I have had the opportunity to complete so far, I am excited to continue my role as an intern at Clavis and work on my UI/UX skills. I also hope to gain more business and marketing experience with Clavis as this will give me more of an insight into what influences customers to purchase or to be drawn to a product or service.
