Ted Blenkers Sailor Duties

Many of our most experienced clients, with a nautical-sports license, including some owners of their own pleasure boats, ask us to rent boats without skipper. However, most of our charter boats, especially the newer ones, are from private owners that only allow rental with crew. If it is not with the employer, at least with a sailor enrolled on board who will handle all the tedious tasks on board, the guards, the dinghy, the exterior cleaning, etc.

What is a sailor exactly?

A sailor is usually a professional skipper, who will be happy to act only as a sailor on board to assist those of our clients who have the corresponding sports title and who want to act as patrons themselves.

What are the advantages of having a sailor on board?

The good thing about having a sailor on board is that he will take care of the guards while the clients are not on the ship or sleeping. In this way, licensed customers can patronize, govern the ship, choose the itinerary, decide where to spend the night, etc. with total freedom.

So you can enjoy all the pleasures of traditional sailing without a skipper and at the same time have the freedom to rest or leave the ship when you want without being worried: the best of both worlds (with and without skipper).

Anchoring to go exploring the island, disembarking for a drink or enjoying a lovely dinner at an earth restaurant is one of the pleasures associated with boat rentals

Each time the patron client decides to anchor the ship, he can disembark without having to worry about anchoring. The sailor will be responsible for taking as many trips as necessary to disembark all guests and pick them up again when they wish to return to the ship. In this way customers will enjoy time on land if they need to leave a person permanently on board, because we will have the sailor.

On the other hand, the sailor will take care of the small annoying tasks, such as the anchoring maneuver, the docking and undocking in the port, ordering all the cabinetry on board, and climbing and stowing the zodiac when it is not needed. So customers can enjoy much better quality time.
