Arguments: supporting reasons in logical order.

Conclusion: provide a conclusion statement that calls the audience.

Read phrases, not word by word. It improves reading speed and comprehension.

Intensive reading

Underline any unfamiliar words or phrases.

Identify main ideas (topic sentences) of each paragraph.

Use the reading context to understand unfamiliar words.
