Life after life. Shadowlands Beta

The plot of the addon develops after the events of the Battle for Azeroth. Shattering the Lich King's helmet opens up a portal to the worst place in the entire World of Warcraft universe, the hell known as the Maw. I was accompanied by Darion Mograine and the Knights of the Ebon Blade. As part of the beta, there is a bug associated with Tyrande. During the first passage, the night warrior remained in the circle of action of the helmet, during the second - she jumped into the resulting hole, during the third - she moved out of the circle along with the rest of the rulers of the factions. It is also interesting that Calia Menethil stood with representatives of the Horde. There is no release date yet, but it should be fixed before release.

Welcome to Hell

Regardless of the entry, I ended up in the Womb without a former priestess. Where she disappeared is not clear, but it immediately turns out that Anduin, Jaina, Thrall and Bane are imprisoned in the underworld. Due to the lack of most of the cutscenes, it's impossible to tell how the characters ended up in the Maw. The first task is to save your own skin and the rulers of the factions from this terrible place.

Despite the fact that a significant amount of content is already available in the Shadowlands beta, it is not fully presented. This also applies to the Womb. If you follow the quest chain, then the locations are filled with mobs, resources, effects and details are added. But moving deeper and studying the corners of the map, you find empty hilly zones with sketched textures and a couple of hostile NPCs. But, in the process of studying, I discovered a terrible place - Pens. This is where the fear debuff was placed on my character.

One player joked in the chat that the beta is reminiscent of Classic. Sagril more than three opponents - death. In the Maw, the enemies are strong and durable, and some are not yet fully balanced. For example, guards loyal to the Maw are thick, but they hit lightly, but archers deal damage comparable to rare enemies.

In terms of device, the Womb is large and embossed. Dark, overwhelming, inhabited not only by hostile mobs, but also by the souls of dead creatures from all worlds. Considering that it is impossible to call a mount to hell, it takes a decent amount of time to run around. And this must be done carefully so as not to assemble the "locomotive" and without attracting the attention of the Jailer.

Oribos

So, the rulers of the Alliance and the Horde are assembled, the waystone has been found, we are moving to Oribos - the center of the Dark Lands. Need to play with wow pvp boost. Alone again. Where did everyone go again, the cut-scene was silent. Naturally, the locals were surprised by the appearance of a stranger, but they were friendly and even gave a tour, introducing them to the local way of life.

Oribos resembles Shattrath in the style of divine magical creatures. A round cloister divided into quarters with artisans, a bank, portals to faction capitals, and an area with representatives of the covenants. In the center is a pillar with the souls of the dead. Before the split of the worlds, they appeared before the Grand Arbiter, who distributed them among the covenants. But then it turns out that for unknown reasons, the Arbiter fell into oblivion, because of which the souls fly straight into the Womb.

Covenants

During the first passage, acquaintance with the covenants takes place in turn. At the second time, we immediately choose whom to join and, according to tradition, independently look at the map where to go.

Pumping the first character, first we fly to the Bastion. The top level in Oribos, the Ring of Redirection, becomes available for movement. A flight manager is installed here, and access to new worlds is opened by a teleport.

Bastion

Bastion is a pleasant and bright location. But acquaintance with her is overshadowed by the hard news that the anima reserves are depleted. Before helping the Kyrians, I first prove that I am worthy of becoming an aspirant and pass the tests. And when entering the covenant, the character receives his own wings, that is, he is reborn into an unshakable guardian. I sent my paladin just to these guys.

Then I was offered to cleanse the soul with the help of a ritual in order to leave the mortal essence and become part of the Dark Lands. We get to know the locals. Kirii was introduced initially. These are noble beings who redirect the souls of the dead to the judgment of the Arbiter. You can participate in this process after joining the ranks of the blessed warriors. The souls sent to the Bastion become Kyrian pretenders, and as part of the story, some will have to witness the rebirth of some.

In the course of the story, we meet apostates - stricken with doubts, the Kyrians, who have defected to the side of the enemy. Uther the Lightbringer also appears in this guise. Another reason I stayed with the Kyrians was to find out why the great paladin tried on dark wings.

Maldraxus

Next stop is Maldraxxus, a world where war and necromancy originated. Meets impenetrable architecture, which exudes power and strength. As much as the Bastion is bright and calm, Maldraxus is so gloomy and cruel. Here problems are solved not by discussions and debates, but by the use of brute force. Nevertheless, the unshakable Necrolords need help. Summoned to defend the worlds of the Dark Lands from incursions, the warriors of Maldraxxus attack Bastion. Why? This is to be found out.

Here, already from the first quests, the opportunity to prove oneself is available - enter the arena and compete with the strong monsters of this world. Having won, we meet Drek, mother of Thrall. Her House of Eyes is destroyed and she joins the House of the Chosen. But these are not all familiar faces. Soon, Lady Vashj, slain in the Serpentshrine, and Alexandros Mograine, known locally as the Ashbringer, appear on the horizon. It is noteworthy that he has a corrupted legendary sword in his hands. Kel'Thuzad didn't show up, perhaps Blizzard left him for the Necrolords to join.

Maldraxus is inhabited by necrotic living creatures: abominations, gladiators - powerful warriors of the House of the Chosen, liches - spellcasters from the House of Rituals, acid residues and other inhabitants of other Houses. I was expecting to see floating ziggurats or a whip in the form that people in Northrend are used to, but the developers did not add them. Although one ziggurat drifts in the sky above Bastion. Whether he is there by chance or a new attack is being prepared is not yet clear.
