So, what is wrong with them
- Probably nothing, it is just non-good way to start learning Emacs, imo
- How do you know that you don't like/like something until you try
- It is much better try to configure stuff yourself, and maybe even fail, but this is the way you learn
- And they still can be used as a reference point to search for solutions
