Music Advert
My initial ideas for my music advert is to keep it very relevant to my digipack, for promotion purposes. As my target audience are mature teenagers interested in the genres HipHop&RNB, I will making it very professional looking but including all the relevant conventions. To do this, I will be comparing other music adverts to work around them and make my own look appropriate for the genre. On my advert, I will include a large image of the artist positioned in the centre of the advert to catch the audience’ attention and offer them pleasure through recognition. The background will be the same shade of blue as the digipack, to maintain consistency. I will also be using the same typography style for brand recognition, offering the audience pleasure through recognition as they will associate the font with the artist as part of their identity. I will also include quotations from popular organisations or icons in the music industry for promotional purposes to offer the audience reassurance. Another feature I will be including is convergence and social media reference also part of promotional purposes and to offer the audience choice of multi-digital platforms, making it easier for the audience to access and stay updated with the artist’s latest news and upcoming events. I will also be including a small screenshot of the artist’s digipack front cover to promote her work, including buzz words such as “Out 5th May” and “#1 Debut Album” to entice the audience into purchasing their copy. I will also include a “Pre-Order” option to offer my audience first purchase priority, creating a pleasure for them. This should be a success and look relatively professional, however I will also considering changing my initial ideas to improve my production as I will be expanding my knowledge on using Photoshop and InDesign.
