WHAT IS A TARGET AUDIENCE?

 The target audience of a film is the intended audience that the film is supposed to appeal to most to. Before producing a film it is necessary to identify the target audience in order to determine the marketing and promotions strategy to be used by the distributor.

There are two types of audience:
Mass Audience: This is the audience with consumes mostly mainstream or stereotyped popular films. This includes people in large groups of adults, teenagers, kids, e.t.c
Niche Audience: This includes a smaller group of audience which have unique interest. This group of audience is mostly based on social status, special/ unique taste in media products.

TARGET AUDIENCE OF OUR FILM OPENING SEQUENCE

THE TARGET AUDIENCE OF OUR FILM IS MAINLY TEENAGERS AND PARENTS.IN OUR OPENING SEQUENCE WE SHOWED THE NEGATIVE INFLUENCE ON CHILDREN CAUSED BY BUSY WORKING PARENTS. PARENTS WITH JOBS ARE OFTEN BUSY AT WORK AND SOMETIMES UNKNOWINGLY NEGLECT THEIR CHILDREN. IN OUR OPENING SEQUENCE IT CAN BE SEEN THAT THE FAMILY ABOUT WHICH THE STORY IS SEEN FROM AN UPPER CLASS BUT EVEN AFTER HAVING EVERYTHING , THEY HAVE A CHILD WHO IS DISTURBED AND THEY ARE UNAWARE. THR MAIN CHARACTER IS OUR VIDEO IS A 12-13 YEAR OLD CHILD WHO IN CONSTANTLY TRYING TO INTERACT WITH HIS PARENTS WHILE THEY'RE BUSY IN THEIR OWN WORLD . IT IS SHOWN THAT HE IS A BOY WHO IS PRETTY GOOD IN HIS EXTRA CURRICULAR

ACTTIVITIES BUT HE'S NOT PERFORMING WELL IN HIS COURSE WORK AS HE IS NEGLECTED AND GIS PARENTS DON'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT ANYTHING IN HIS LIFE.
