What

• The platform GitBook.com allows you can create and automatically publish books.
• Basically it's taking a repo. of Markdown and creating html
• So - it's basically a static site generator

Why

• I wanted to write in Markdown and do (almost) nothing else,
• Markdown because:
  • No more word...ever
  • Math(s)
  • code

Why not?

• There's a lot of static site generators...
• Gitbook actually doesn't seem to have that much development (small team etc.)

How

• On your own computer - gitbook is an app
• gitbook.io
• github - gitbook.io
