Washington D.C Trip.
Ups, downs, and the big city.

First (full) day:
Our first day, we got a tour at the Supreme Court (AKA) Scotus. It was very cool in there, a ton of marble and columns. It was so difficult not falling asleep on the tour. After that, we went to lunch at a place called Burrito Brothers. Shortly after, Bailey bought me new sunglasses from a street vendor. I have to say, my favorite souvenir thing was getting my sunglasses! It was so exciting.
We rushed back to the Capitol building for a tour. It was very long and tiring. I learned that there was a shooting in the building and there are still bullet holes on the statues. I also learned that they let cats loose all over to catch mice and rats in the city. You could see the paw prints in the floor, cool stuff! The Capitol building was so pretty and big. The whisper hole and the art was my favorite part of the building. It was so hard listening to him though, it was so loud.

Second day:
Today we visited the Library of Congress (AKA) LOC. It was amazing!! The art was incredible and so detailed. It was the high light of the day for sure. After a metro trip, we went to eat at an antique diner. It was very sketchy but the food was great! We walked over to the White House visitor center (since we didn't get a tour of the actual house). It kind of sucked though, the only interesting thing about it was the slide show of all the cool pics that were taken there.
Once we were done with that, we met up with Logan and Liv and walked to the National Monument. It was very cool there, we took a bunch of amazing modeling photos, logan and Misty were so vogue. We were too lazy to go to see any of the other monuments there. Not even the big statue of Abraham Lincoln. We were all very tired and just wanted to get home. We walked over to the Renwick art museum but it was too busy. The line stretched a few blocks. We weren't standing in line so we just went home.

Second day
once we got home, we all got dressed up for a play called 110 In The Shade. First, we head to the metro; I wore the wrong shoes. I wore my heels, bad decision on my part. The side walks in D.C are cray, all these loose tiles and bricks. There were some times where my ankles would bend in, scary stuff! LOL. We ate at a restaurant called Cedar. The food was fantastic. After a short walk to Ford's Theatre, we finally made it. We got there a few minutes late though.
The show was amazing, we all loved it! Once we got out of there, we took a taxi back to the hotel and went right to bed. We were all so exhausted from all the walking we did!

Third day:
Today we woke up early and took the metro to the zoo. When we were walking to the metro, Misty got this strange foot pain. She has had it since, who knows what the problem is. After the metro trip, we went up these crazy long escalators. They were so tall and long, it was pretty scary. Once we got to the zoo, we went and saw the pandas. They were all so fluffy and adorable. Misty about had a heart attack when she saw how fluffy they were!
We met up with the Murphys at the zoo and walked around. My favorite was all the big cats! Tigers and lions are my favorite. After all of that, we rode the carousel. It was super fun, we took like.. 4 selfies. Once we were done there, we head over to the Renwick museum. We actually got in!! The line wasn't too bad. The art was so unique and interesting. There was a whole room of dead bugs. One room had a huge rainbow! After all that, we head back to the hotel where we just ordered pizza and went to sleep.

The metro
The metro was super fun to ride! We took the metro to all of our destinations, once we got the hang of it we were metro pros. We didn't see a lot on the metro. Normally there is all sorts of strange things on the metro. The metro in D.C is fantastic! I look forward to riding it again!
Fourth day:
Today we woke up at 6:45 so we could leave by 7:45. We got in the car and drove to Ihop for breakfast. After a quick breakfast we were back on the road. Bailey slept in the back and Mom and Dad listened to strange 90s music. Misty and I watched a few movies.
The drive wasn't too bad. We drove by some very cool places. The mountains were gorgeous to look at. I missed a bit of it because I tried to sleep. We got home around 2-3. It was a great trip! I am excited to visit again!
