Introduction

As a part of our A2 media coursework we were required to create a music video as well as two ancillary tasks, these were to create a digipak and advert for our chosen song. When combined with the finished video these two products would demonstrate a marketing campaign for our song, complete with branding and indie style/genre.

What is the indie style/genre?

Genre definition: a repertoire of elements being like a list of ingredients or conventions expected in a specific genre. Audiences like familiarity, the idea of expectation means that the audience has a certain set of expectations and listen to particular songs that live up to the demographics’ requirements.
