NUUG Foundation

• Norwegian UNIX User Group Foundation gives financial aids aimed at strengthening Norwegian participation in International forums.
• Mainly for students, but anyone are allowed to apply for a grant to go to a CS/Communcations conference
• International conferences where peer-reviewed material is presented are given priority.
• They have a website: https://www.nuugfoundation.no/no/
• Support given to transportation, lodging and conference fees.

What it takes to get a grant

• You need a nice supervisor willing to provide you with a Letter of Recommendation
• You must hva a valid reason to go, i.e. the conference should provide you with something beneficial in your endeavour  to make the world a better place
• You must be able to pay yourself as the grant is only paid to you after the conference is over upon the submission of a report and proof of expenses
