BOXERS
Maint Boxers
- Reserved for updates on existing projects (maintenance).
- Branches for maintenance are named after each week's release:
- FY15-##.
- Current week release is mapped to maint1 boxer.
- Next week release is mapped to maint2 boxer.
- When maint1 code is merged to trunk maint2 code is moved to maint1.
- Before merging in trunk QA will check in maint server, if something is wrong changes will be done in FY15-## branch.
- Content changes will require to create a content package.
Proj Boxers
- Reserved for new projects or new implementations.
- Ronny will specify where the different projects will be mapped (Current Container Mappings chat).
- Those are merged to trunk when ready.
- Before merging in trunk QA will check in proj server, if something is wrong changes will be done in repective proj branch.
- Content changes will require to create a content package.
Trunk Boxer
- Contains the changes that are ready to be released that week.
- Every Monday Ronny will merge the different changes from maint and proj to trunk.
- Ronny wont merge code if not ready to trunk.
- If code was already pushed in trunk changes needs to be done in trunk directly.
- If content changes were made in proj or maint, content package needs to be installed.
- QA will recheck in trunk.
- Changes needs to be QA approved on Tuesday EOD.
PREPROD Boxer
- Will contained all the approved changes from trunk.
- Pushes from TRUNK to PREPROD are performed by CL not Ronny.
- Server used for UAT.
- CL will install all the content packages attached to the different tickets in PREPROD.
- If client approves changes are ready to be released in PROD on Thursday morning.
