Trusted Digital Repositories:

"... in recent years, there have been multiple efforts to assess repositiories with the objective of making repository practices and procedures transparent, and assuring that valuable digital assets are protected ... "

(ISPSR, University of Michigan, US)

Zertifizierung

Zertifizierung

Ausgangspunkt:

Zertifizierung

Allgemein

Was gefordert wird:

Daten: Transparenz und Replikation der Forschungsarbeit

Verlässliche Daten / Vertrauen in Daten

Comminity-driven: Bewertung von Data Repositories

European open access policy: Access and preservation of scientific information

"A digital archive can be subject to inspection by third parties and as a result acquire a data certificate. That certificate indicates that, according to third parties, the archive is a Trusted Digital Repository (TDR) and that the research data deposited here will continue to be able to be found and shared in the future"        (http://datasupport.researchdata.nl/)

Internationalisierung in 2009, erstes Assessment in 2010

+ heutiger Stand 36 Data Repositories mit DSA, 34 in Status "Pending"

  • Jedes Datenarchiv kann sich "bewerben"

  • basiert auf dem OAIS Modell (Reference Model for an Open Archival System)

  • 16 Guidelines, die erfüllt werden müssen
  • "Self-assessment", keine externe Prüfung (Online Tool)
  • Der Peer-review-Prozess wird vom DSA Board überwacht
